When taken along with coumadin (warfarin), I believe that aspirin raises your INR number. That is, reduce normal clotting tendency. As far as adequate circulation is concerned, I would estimate that the robustness of the heart and heart muscle tissue and supporting biochemistry is decisive. Also, arteries and veins caked/clogged with cholesterol. Lose a foot ***because*** of aspirin? Explain? Naturally, you could lose a foot if circulation was stopped, as in a clot. The tricky thing about treating strokes is deternining/guessing whether it is a clot (enzyme clot busters apply?) or a hemorrhage. Right? A stroke is something to (helplessly?) worry about, alright. More than a lost foot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebral_hemorrhage
