First they said it would cover every American. Lie, there will be at least 13 million omitted from coverage. Then they said that the reason healthcare is so expensive is that there are uninsured folks going to the emergency room of which the taxpayer has to pick up the tab, now the taxpayer will only have to pick up the tab and if they don't they could be jailed. How will this reduce costs. Then they said it would be deficit neutral, $849 billion is deficit neutral? Then they said that health care premiums would go down for the average family. It is now expected the average American family will see an average increase of $1000 Then they said there would be no rationing and that lives would be saved, HHS secretary recently "recommended" no mammograms for anyone under 50 and no pap smears for anyone under 21, this is "no rationing" and going to save lives? When medicare was first introduced they said it would never cost more than 9 billion, its passed 700% of that at this point. The current legislation prescribes that the taxes for the 10 year "reform" program will start immediately but the benefits wont kick in until 5 years from now. Doesn't anyone see CANT ANYONE UNDERSTAND that even if the premiums stay the same its still costing double? I guess I'm just too stupid to understand. My big problem is that there is no one anywhere that can explain how all this works. I point out facts and they seem to go undisputed. I must It slays me to think that some people feel that since the healthcare system needs reform the very best answer is to bankrupt the country. Let me see, 849 billion times 700%............ Let me make it pitifully and simplistically easy for all the *smart* folks out there, can anyone name even one single government program that has met the estimated cost without going over? |
