Hmmmmmm....Spelling: Minus Five! I assume that you're referring to this: "The fact that you've got two distortion pedals between your low-B seven-string and your Marshall stack just automatically precludes any possibility of hir enjoying your song." So, you ask for feedback (which is criticism, by the way, of a constructive sort), and then criticize (of the NON constructive sort) a small typing error without even acknowledging the responding user's effort. Very bad form. Not only that, but I agree with Julie D on her points about yours and Brother Rabbit's writings, which makes your post seem even more juvenile to me. The funny thing about constructive criticism is the people who seem to ask for it the most usually want it the least. I also hang out at a few writers' forums, and I've noticed that most people just want their egos stoked, with little or no concern about whether or not what they write is any good. Try to point out a few errors or suggest an alternative and you get your head torn off for not being smart enough to appreciate what the original author is doing with their piece. Whatever. But I'm not discounting the possibility that your response was a misinterpreted attempt at harmless humor, however, you've got the stereotype of a whole class of artists working against you. If you're not being conceited and condescending, you should throw a smiley or two in the message text to make sure people recognize that fact! :) See, like that! |
