One of the problems in mixing cannabis with television is getting a big dose of tension. Cyclopic television microwaves the frontal lobe while one is releasing tension getting high, then the tension pendulum brings it back with a Vengence. Their mind then lashes out with political treachery, vicious lies, false statistics, virus fears, health problems, social unrest, contaminated planet.
I don't advocate headphoning it all out with music, as many liberals do, who are into "self awareness". They're just as slammed as people who are addicted to porn, but in another form, in the obsession with politics of dissent and screening out what they don't like. Sort of a passive aggressive tantrum in slo-mo. You have to develop your will to free yourself from the hypnotic restraint imposed over your mind by Cyclops. The trouble may have started with Alan Ginsberg and the poem 'Howl', where he goes off, blaming his countrymen for the social decadence of his brilliant peers, with the line 'I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness. How fucked. |
