Here's a tip for the best way to download .mp3 files.   TIP: Right-click on an MP3 to download it, and then choose "Save Target As..." instead of "Open."  Save it to your hard drive and you will only have to download once.  Then burn a CD and share mp3s with your friends, or email the mp3s to them.  Conserve our bandwidth!
  • Observe the tips on downloading MP3 files on the following pages.  Don't download the same file multiple times.  Don't waste your time and our bandwidth.  A broadband connection is recommended for downloading these files.  Modem users usually fail to complete the download of any of these files.  If you're looking for a good broadband ISP, try your local cable company. Why I recommend cable over DSL.

  • Once you have downloaded the MP3s you want, share them with your friends.  Send it to them by email or burn a CD.  Not only does that conserve our bandwidth, that also provides you with a backup source.  You can't count on these files always being available here.

  • If any mp3s are missing, or if you have mp3s of a similar nature to offer the world, notify Ron, the librarian.  There may well be filenames incorrectly spelled; this can be easily corrected if it is brought to Ron's attention.

  • A minority of files are truncated; they were received that way but are still of interest.  No editing has been performed on these files other than in rare cases to split very large files into smaller files.  It's not necessary, but is possible to join these together by downloading an "MP3 Splitter" from www.cnet.com or a similar file source.

  • Other libraries of spoken-word broadcasts, usually in formats other than .mp3, are available at Radio-Free America, Stafanki Radio, and WebActive (clips are in .rm format).  When our bandwidth cap has been exceeded and downloads are disabled, try those sites.

  • Webmasters are encouraged to link to this or any page on the Truth Tree, however linking directly to our files is unwise because the filenames and locations often change without notice or are deleted to conserve space and bandwidth.

  • This library has a bandwidth cap of four gigabytes per month.  Once that limit has been exceeded, no further downloads will be possible until next month, unless additional bandwidth is purchased with the aid of a benefactor.  Click here to test whether we have any bandwidth left this month.  Otherwise, if you download only a bit of the data when the download is terminated, then that will also key you into the news.  Send some money our way via Paypal and we can buy more bandwidth - the rate is $3 per gigabyte.

  • January, 2003 - you guys blasted through the bandwidth cap in 6 quick days... including one day when 1.24 gigs were downloaded.  The popularity of this section has far exceeded my personal expectations - and finances.  Well, that's all for January, under the present conditions, try again in February!
